Location: GTA/Hamilton/Mississauga/Oakville Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Casual Reports To: Site Supervisor / Account Manager Job Summary: We are seeking professional, vigilant, and reliable Security Guards to safeguard our clients' properties, assets, and personnel. As a frontline security professional, you will be responsible for maintaining a highly visible, authoritative, yet approachable presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure a safe environment. Whether assigned to a commercial office tower, a retail complex, a construction site, or an industrial warehouse, you will act as the first line of defense. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, excels under pressure, and takes pride in representing elite safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Access Control & Monitoring: Control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and commercial vehicles. Verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and monitor CCTV camera feeds. Static Guarding & Foot Patrols: Maintain a highly visible presence at designated posts and conduct regular foot patrols of the property (interiors, exteriors, stairwells, and perimeters) to detect security breaches or safety hazards. Incident Management: Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, or structural issues (e.g., leaks, power outages). Call and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense or confrontational situations calmly, professionally, and in accordance with Ontario use-of-force guidelines (non-physical de-escalation prioritized). Reporting & Logs: Complete detailed, accurate daily shift logs and write clear, objective incident reports for management and client review. Requirements & Qualifications: Licensing: Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License. Certifications: Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C certificate. Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills (essential for writing clear legal reports and communicating with emergency services). Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours depending on the shift) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, disciplined, and committed to maintaining sharp uniform standards. Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, afternoons, overnights, weekends, and holidays. What We Offer: Competitive hourly wages with opportunities for overtime.
