Construction Site Security

Protecting Your Build. 24/7 Oversight.

Active construction sites are high-target zones for tool theft, copper stripping, and vandalism. Warriorz provides around-the-clock security that deters loss, tracks trades on and off the site, and keeps your build on schedule — from excavation through final handover.

Compare

On-site guard vs mobile patrol for a construction site

Active sites usually need a static on-site presence during high-risk phases — open structures, valuable materials, fuel and copper on site — and can step down to mobile patrol as the build progresses and exposure drops.

FactorOn-site (static) guardMobile patrol
CoverageContinuous presence at gate/trailerScheduled + random visits across the site
Best phaseHigh-risk: structure open, materials stagedLower-risk: secured, near completion
Theft deterrenceStrongest — constant watchStrong at visit, gap between rounds
Access / trade sign-inHandles gate control + sign-in liveChecks at each visit only
Fire watch during hot workCan run continuous watchNot suitable for continuous watch
Relative costHigher — dedicated coverageLower — shared route

Fire watch — whether during hot work or while a fire protection system is impaired (a notification requirement under the Ontario Fire Code, O. Reg. 213/07) — needs a continuous human watch and cannot be met by periodic patrol alone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are your security guards licensed in Ontario?

Yes — every Warriorz security guard holds a valid Ontario Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA) licence, verified before placement and re-checked at renewal. To hold that licence, an Ontario guard must complete the Ministry-mandated basic training program (a minimum of 40 hours, including Emergency First Aid and CPR) and pass the provincial security guard test. Beyond the legal minimum, our guards complete internal certification in de-escalation, emergency response, and Use of Force reporting, and are dispatched and supervised 24/7. Warriorz is fully insured and bonded as an Ontario security company. The practical benefit for you: every guard on your site can produce proof of a current PSISA licence on request, so you can demonstrate compliance to your own board, insurer, or auditor without taking it on trust.

How much does construction site security cost in Ontario?

Construction security is quoted by coverage hours, site size, and risk profile — copper, tools, fuel, and equipment theft drive most of the demand and most of the cost. The model you need shapes the quote: overnight gate control is very different from 24/7 patrols layered with camera coordination, and high-risk phases (open structures, valuable materials on site) usually warrant more presence than the finishing stages. Because active sites change quickly, we scope coverage to your project schedule rather than a flat annual rate, and adjust as the build progresses. Many PMs also fold in related tasks — trade sign-in, gate access control, and Ontario Fire Code-compliant fire watch during hot work — on the same contract, which is more cost-effective than separate vendors. Tell us your site size, phase, and hours, and we return a written quote tailored to the project within one business day.

Can you provide fire watch during hot work on site?

Yes — our construction guards provide fire watch during welding, cutting, grinding, and other hot work, with hourly patrol documentation that inspectors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) accept. Fire watch is a standard fire-safety practice and a common condition of a hot-work permit: a trained watch keeper stays in the work area during the work and for a set period after it, watching for smoke and ignition, keeping extinguishing equipment to hand, and logging each round. The same crew also covers fire watch when a building's fire protection system is impaired — under the Ontario Fire Code (O. Reg. 213/07), when a fire alarm or standpipe system is shut down the fire department, occupants, and supervisory staff must be notified, and a continuous human watch is the safeguard an AHJ typically requires while the system is out of service. We can run fire watch alongside gate access control, trade sign-in, and perimeter patrols on one contract. Confirm the exact interval and scope with your AHJ — we coordinate directly with them.

Which areas of Ontario do you cover?

Warriorz provides security across Ontario — including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Ottawa, London, Kitchener, and Cambridge — coordinated from regional hubs in the GTA, the Tri-Cities, Eastern Ontario, the Southwest, and the North. Because we are a service-area business rather than a single storefront, coverage is organised around where guards are deployed, not a fixed address, which lets us staff multi-site portfolios that cross municipal boundaries. Every deployment is backed by a 24/7 operations centre with GPS-verified patrols and real-time reporting, so a guard in a remote northern site is supervised the same way as one in downtown Toronto. If your property is in the province, we can usually staff it; tell dispatch your specific location and we will confirm coverage and lead time for that area.
