Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) (Based out of Brampton/GTA North) Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Primarily Afternoon & Overnight Shifts) Reports To: Patrol Supervisor / Operations Manager Job Summary: Are you an observant, independent professional who loves being on the move? We are seeking a reliable Mobile Patrol Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of multiple client sites across the region. Unlike a stationary guard post, this dynamic role puts you behind the wheel of a fully equipped security patrol vehicle. Your mission is to deter criminal activity, conduct thorough property inspections, and respond swiftly to alarms or dispatch requests. You will balance a sharp security mindset with excellent customer service when interacting with property managers, tenants, and local authorities. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Patrols: Safely operate a company patrol vehicle to travel between assigned commercial, residential, and industrial sites across a designated route. Property Inspections: Conduct thorough foot patrols of site interiors and exteriors, checking for open doors, broken windows, property damage, fire hazards, and unauthorized individuals. Alarm Response: Respond rapidly and safely to automated security, fire, and environmental alarms, assessing the situation and escalating to emergency services as required. Parking & By-law Enforcement: Inspect parking lots, issue municipal/private parking tickets, and arrange for towing when necessary to ensure compliance with property rules. Detailed Documentation: Log every site visit and write clear, professional electronic incident reports using real-time GPS tracking and guard management software. Lock/Unlock Services: Execute scheduled opening and closing procedures for client facilities (e.g., locking park gates, securing office buildings). Requirements & Qualifications: Licensing: Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License. Driving Record: Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean abstract (No major infractions; abstract required prior to hiring). Certifications: Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C certificate. Experience: Previous mobile patrol or high-volume security experience is a strong asset, but we will train the right candidate. Skills: Strong spatial awareness, independent decision-making skills, and the ability to navigate via GPS under various weather and traffic conditions. Physical Demands: Ability to repeatedly enter and exit a vehicle, climb stairs, and walk long distances during foot inspections in all weather conditions.
